What the free consultation actually is
It is a video call between you and the teacher you picked. Not a demo lesson run by whoever is free, not a call with a sales coordinator who then hands you over, and not a discounted first lesson designed to get a card on file. You choose a specific teacher from the directory, they confirm a time, and you meet. Nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel afterwards.
The consultation runs between 15 and 30 minutes, usually around 20. That is short on purpose. The question it exists to answer is not "can this teacher teach me everything", it is "do I want to spend an hour a week with this person", and twenty minutes of real conversation answers that far better than a written profile can. You can book exactly one free consultation per student account, so it is worth spending it on a teacher you have actually shortlisted rather than on the first profile you open.
You are under no obligation at the end of it. If it went well, you book a paid lesson with that teacher, one lesson at a time, paid before it happens. If it did not, you say so, or you simply do not book. And if the teacher declines your request or the consultation is cancelled before it takes place, the free consultation goes back to your account so you can use it with somebody else.

- 15 to 30 minutes, typically about 20.
- One per student account, and it is returned if the meeting never happens.
- No payment details are asked for at any point in booking it.
